Trains
The hub is directly connected to the Malaysian railway network. It serves as
a railway station for both the Electric Train Service (ETS) and Intercity
trains, providing convenient access to major cities in Malaysia, including
Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and Johor Bahru.
e-Hailing Services / GRAB
The designated e-Hailing Services / GRAB pick-up and drop-off point at
Penang Sentral is at the main entrance on Level 3, near Starbucks, Huawei,
and Royaltea cafe. The entrance is accessible via a flyover.
Since there is
no specific GRAB pick-up point, passengers must meet their driver at the
location indicated in the app. After midnight, taxis are recommended
as GRAB rides may be limited.
Buses
Penang Sentral is a major bus terminal, offering both local and
long-distance bus services. It provides bus connections to various
destinations within Penang as well as other states in Malaysia.
Ferries
The nearby Butterworth ferry terminal connects Penang Sentral to the island
of Penang. The ferry service allows passengers to travel across the Penang
Strait and reach George Town, the capital city of Penang.
