Trains

The hub is directly connected to the Malaysian railway network. It serves as a railway station for both the Electric Train Service (ETS) and Intercity trains, providing convenient access to major cities in Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and Johor Bahru.

e-Hailing Services / GRAB

The designated e-Hailing Services / GRAB pick-up and drop-off point at Penang Sentral is at the main entrance on Level 3, near Starbucks, Huawei, and Royaltea cafe. The entrance is accessible via a flyover.

Since there is no specific GRAB pick-up point, passengers must meet their driver at the location indicated in the app. After midnight, taxis are recommended as GRAB rides may be limited.

Buses

Penang Sentral is a major bus terminal, offering both local and long-distance bus services. It provides bus connections to various destinations within Penang as well as other states in Malaysia.

Ferries

The nearby Butterworth ferry terminal connects Penang Sentral to the island of Penang. The ferry service allows passengers to travel across the Penang Strait and reach George Town, the capital city of Penang.
