Penang Airport LRT Station (S03) is a light rail transit station on the
Penang Mutiara Line, located just outside the Penang International Airport
terminal in Bayan Lepas. Its location is designed to provide a convenient rail
connection for air travellers and the surrounding community.
The station is expected to serve arriving and departing passengers, airport
employees and visitors travelling to nearby destinations, including Sungai Ara
and the upcoming MITSUI Outlet Park. It will offer an additional transport
option for journeys between the airport and other parts of Penang Island.
By connecting the airport with the wider Mutiara Line, the station is expected
to improve access to George Town, industrial areas and residential
neighbourhoods along the route.
Passenger drop-off and pick-up areas are planned to facilitate transfers from
private vehicles and e-hailing services to the LRT network.
