Penang Sentral LRT Station (S21) is a light rail transit station planned as
part of the Penang Mutiara Line in Butterworth. Located at the Penang Sentral
transport hub, it will strengthen connections between Penang Island and mainland
Peninsular Malaysia.
The station is planned to integrate rail travel with existing transport
services, including
KTM Komuter,
ETS trains, ferry services and buses. This will make it easier for
passengers to transfer between different modes of transport for regional and
intercity journeys.
As a major transport interchange, Penang Sentral LRT Station is expected to
benefit daily commuters, long-distance travellers and visitors travelling
between Butterworth, George Town and other destinations served by the Mutiara
Line.
Passenger drop-off and pick-up facilities will support transfers between private
vehicles, e-hailing services and the wider public transport network here.
