Permatang Damar Laut LRT Station (S02) is a light rail transit station on
the Penang Mutiara Line, located near the Sungai Bayan Lepas estuary in the
southern part of Penang Island. It will serve communities in Permatang Damar
Laut and nearby villages.
The station is planned to improve rail access for residents of Kampung Binjai,
Kampung Seronok and parts of Batu Maung. By bringing rail services closer to
these communities, it will provide an additional option for daily travel, work
commutes and journeys to nearby urban areas.
As one of the southernmost stations on Penang Island, Permatang Damar Laut LRT
Station will connect local communities with
Penang International Airport, Bayan Lepas and George Town, while supporting
wider connectivity along the Mutiara Line.
Passenger drop-off and pick-up areas are planned to facilitate transfers from
private vehicles and e-hailing services to the LRT network.
