The proposed Permatang Damar Laut LRT Station is the 19th station on the Mutiara Line from Komtar Transportation Hub.

Located near the estuary of Sungai Bayan Lepas, it is also the terminus of the Mutiara Line in the south, before the Line extends onto the three planned reclaimed islands off the coast of Teluk Kumbar.

Permatang Damar Laut LRT Station is in the south of the Penang Airport Station and it will serves the villagers in Permatang Damar Laut, Kampung Binjai, Kampung Seronok, and the community in Batu Maung as well.

The proposed Permatang Damar Laut LRT Station is expected to be completed and start operations at a later date.
